Entries will now be accepted until Friday 19 February, providing organisations with extra time to join this year's process for the longest established accolades in the field of public sector IT.
The GC Awards have a long record of rewarding the teams and individuals making outstanding contributions to the cause of using IT to provide better government, better services and better value for taxpayers' money.
They are supported by the Cabinet Office, the Society of IT Management and the British Computer Society, with The Guardian as the official media partner. A group of senior public sector officials and leading figures in the IT industry will provide the judging panel.
We are taking entries for projects within six categories: collaborative working; delivering efficiency; shared services; transformation; customer services; and innovator of the year.
The competition is open to organisations large and small from any part of the UK public sector, and the winners will be announced at a gala event in London in April.
